St Helens in the Square Flute recital

The Quinones Flute studio raised £100 for Yorkshire based charity Music and the Deaf, MatD, at our 5th of July studio concert. With 10 different flautists performing everything from the Beatles to Copland, there was music for all tastes!!

The evening included a heartwarming talk from Danny Lane of MatD about his experiences with the charity. The concert was also made extra special when Alison Stephenson, a deaf musician, amazed everyone with her rendition of Muczynski's preludes for solo flute. Jessica Quinones also premiered "Passions" a piece written for her by York composer Tim New.
Thanks to everyone for making it a success!

"Hello! Many, many thanks for donating the proceeds of Saturday's concert to us. We're so grateful to you (and your pupils!) for this so please so thank all of them on our behalf.
Dr. Paul Whittaker OBE - Artistic Director MatD"
